Chronos and Kairos – An Allegory of Time

Humankind has recognized for millennia that we experience time in two different ways. Chronos represents how minutes, hour and days pass like links in a chain. Kairos represents flow. How we can focus on a creative task to the exclusion of everything else. Artists often describe creating in the state of flow as an act of prayer. We seem to be able to create at a level beyond our current abilities.
